I shot the wedding of Tracy and Max at Rocklands Farm in Poolesville, MD. This turned out to be one of the best weddings of the year, but it did not start out that way. I rarely photograph a wedding where I have not done an engagement session with the couple and never met them in person. They had booked me over the internet, so when I showed up I was a total stranger. I felt the uncertainty and worry when first arriving. I quickly won them over by setting up some fun group shots with the bridal party. The day was rainy and overcast but Rocklands has plenty of indoor space to create some great images. The bride was fantastic to work with, and it turns out that she is an MMA fighter and in amazing shape. I loved the cowboy boots she was wearing and I created a great shot of one of the flower girls with similar boots. Max was super easy to work with also, but that might be because he is experienced at having his photo taken. He is the drummer in a popular DC band, White Ford Bronco. http://www.whitefordbronco.com We held the wedding in the barn because of the weather, but that did not dampen the spirits of this wonderful couple. Rocklands is a great spot for a natural barn wedding and I hope to return soon.
