I shot the wedding of Jess and Will at The Old Chapel at Ft. Myer in Arlington followed by a reception at The Fairfax At Embassy Row in Washington, DC. The Old Chapel sits at the top of Arlington National Cemetery and we had access to photograph at the General Lee House. At the outset of the Civil War General Lee owned a beautiful mansion overlooking all of Washington, DC. When he turned down the position of commander of the Union army and defected to the South he upset the US government. In response his mansion and land were confiscated and the North started burying their dead on his land. This was the start of Arlington National Cemetery. It certainly is the best view of Washington, DC and a fantastic spot for wedding photography. The day continued at The Fairfax hotel in Washington, DC. The Fairfax is a classic site and fit perfectly as Jess and Will hosted an elegant, black tie event.
